Why the "Mug" Millionaire?

Well, I have no tertiary qualifications - no degree, no diploma, no certificates.

I am just an average guy - a "mug" (if you will), that nobody thought would succeed (except for me) and yet, I went on to achieve wealth, financial security, a happy family life, started a successful business which my wife and I ran for over 30 years, and did it despite what people (including close friends and family) thought of my capabilities.

When I started, I had nobody to ask questions of, so everything was done by trial and error - always the hard way.  If I had been lucky enough to have had access to an experienced teacher or mentor, my journey may have been much easier and faster.

I am a self-made multimillionaire that finished high school and though I attempted a degree, I dropped out in the final semester and eventually started my own business instead 

With no tertiary qualifications, I was able to create personal wealth to the point of being able to retire in my 50's and without ever having to worry about money or ever having to work again.

To be honest, I could not have achieved what I have without the unwaivering support of my wife. I am a dreamer, an entrepreneur and an ideas guy, always have been. My wife is the  level head between us that can focus on the details and the stuff I am not good at. 

Together, we are unstoppable.

I am a private individual and as such, I do not share private details about myself or my life. I am the guy next door that goes unnoticed.

In fact, to be honest, my friends and family know that I live very comfortably, but I'm quite sure that they are blissfully unaware that my wife and I are multimillionaires - and, they do not need to know. All they see is that we live well, can afford to do the things that most cannot, and have a very comfortable lifestyle.

I have passed what knowledge I could, onto my children. However, I also want to leave them a reference to go to if I was ever not around for them to ask.

I decided the best way to do this was by leaving my knowledge as either a book or website. I chose the latter to be a guide and reference for them, and also for anyone else who may stumble upon this site.

This site is here to share my experiences, thoughts and philosophy on being an entrepreneur, on wealth creation and on happiness. It exists primarily to help my children achieve the success they want, as well as help others that go searching for such knowledge.
